Arrrrrginine

There's a bit of a story behind this one. Recently, I began making tiny molecules to wear as jewelry--necklaces, earrings and such. My sister, , really liked a set of earrings I made, but unfortunately only has one ear pierced (another story entirely). We were joking that she needed a pirate molecule to wear as a single, "piratey" earring, and I happened to remember dear old arginine.

Arginine is an amino acid and, like all amino acids, has a three letter abbreviation--you guessed it, Arg. So here's the result of a day of boredom and some really geeky humor.

Greens are carbons, purples are nitrogens, oranges are oxygens.
